Shhh! Big Girl Fashion Secrets For 2009!
Attention plus size divas, big gyrls (BGs), and thickie slims, here is your 2009 fashion guide to a fashion fabulous new year!
Winter 2008/2009 Season- The winter season is filled with colors that resemble royalty and warmth. BGs you can have so much fun mixing these colors. Colors that should be in your closet are deep purple or plum, royal blue, electric blue, dark grey, fuchsia, cream or ivory, and burnt orange. Great combinations are created by adding turquoise with chocolate brown, plum, or burnt orange. The electric blue and electric royal blues are colors that demand attention and can be worn with a soft pink or fuchsia contrast. Clothing items that are in effect for the winter season are military jackets and shirts, plaid jackets, pants, and skirts, feathers and plumes, and of course kimonos.
Spring/Summer 2009 Season- The spring and summer seasons are my favorite because you can wear less, and still look like a video vixen without sacrificing integrity. The spring and summer seasons bring out sensual colors with a natural tone. The colors that should be in your closet are nature tones of camel, beige, tan, and other light shades of brown. Bright colors ran rapid last year and for this year, the light colors are coming out such as yellow, peach, celery, and ultimate light grey. Some bright colors to keep are vibrant green and of course fuchsia. We love fuchsia and all shades of fuchsia like red-fuchsia. Clothing items that are in effect for the spring/summer season are fringe/flapper dresses and shirts, shirt jackets, boleros, flounced tops and bottoms, one-shoulder pieces, and butterfly motif prints.
Big Gyrl Secret#1: Keep it simple and elegant, do not overdue your prints and patterns. As plus women, prints stand out on us so for example, if you are wearing a butterfly motif dress, do not look tacky with butterflies being printed all over it. Instead stand out in elegance and find a dress that has two or three colorful butterfly prints. Sheer is also coming back in full force this spring/summer season and as plus women; some of us will look a hot mess wearing a sheer shirt with a bra underneath. Instead, find a sheer/solid shirt. You will still have the same sexy appeal showing tidbits instead of the whole package, leave your audience in suspense and wanting more.
Big Gyrl Secret#2: BGs that are short (4’9″- 5’2″) with a triangle shape look great in a military style and puffed sleeve jackets. We also recommend wearing straight leg jeans or wide legged trousers, pencil, and a-line skirts in a dark color with the jackets. Top it off with a feather/plume hat or brooch to set it off. Hourglass shaped BGs should wear flared skirts or a-line dresses, scoop-neck sweaters, and three-quarter length sleeves.
Big Gyrl Secret#3: BGs that are average (5’3″- 5’7″) with a triangle shape should wear straight-leg, wide-leg, or palazzo pants. Skirts include full, pleated, and gored. Wide belts are also a great accessory to keep this season, as they look fabulous with a long v-neck sweater. Stay away from the short sleeve jacket and cap sleeve jacket. Hourglass BGs look great in mid-rise jeans that are boot-cut or straight leg, no skinny jeans! You also look incredible with princess seam jackets and the basic trench coat. Combine those with a plaid pattern and you are going to make heads turn a full 360 like to exorcist, in a good way.
Big Gyrl Secret#4: BGs that are tall (5’8″ and higher) with a triangle shape look fabulous in tailored button-up dress shirts, sweetheart neck and v-necks tops. You should wear circle type skirts in flowing fabrics. Include plenty of feminine details like ruffles which are still in. Three- quarter sleeves are a must have with dark, straight- leg pants. You will also look great in a military style jacket. Hourglass BGs should have a wrap dress or any type of A-line dress to show off that beautiful shape. Straight-leg or boot cut pants and jeans are also a must have. You will also look awesome in a peplum jacket or corseted blazer.
Remember big gyrls, you are Beyond Intelligent and Gorgeous. You are beautiful inside and out. Don’t be afraid to take fashion risks!
Have a fashion fabulous year!

Barbie Games, Makeovers, And Dress Up Games – Not Just For Children But Also Adults
Ever since its launch in 1959 the Barbie doll has become immensely popular with both children and adults. Over a period of time Mattel, the company manufacturing Barbie has added many clothes, accessories like shoes and jewelery etc. not to mention Barbie playmates like Skipper and Ken. Also available in the market are Barbie playhouse, kitchen and household items and furniture.
The popularity of the Barbie doll has spawned many online Barbie games, which include makeover games and Barbie dress up games. These games are suitable for both children and adults. In these games Barbie can be dressed up for a party or as a bride, complete with dress, shoes, handbag etc.
These games also include Barbie games in which Barbie makeovers can include dressing up game and giving Barbie different hairstyles. The Barbie doll is marketed worldwide and at times is dressed up according to the dress code of the country in which it is being marketed.
The online Barbie games not only include Barbie makeover and Barbie dress up games but also present different challenges at different levels. In these games Barbie may be a spy chasing some anti social elements and may be fighting with the help of Skipper and Ken or she may be a scuba diver who has to save herself from underwater obstacles and sea animals like sharks, octopuses or make believe sea monsters.
But among all Barbie games, Barbie makeover games and Barbie dress up games are the most popular among young girls who love to dress up Barbie in different clothes to suit different occasions and in the process live out their wish of being adults and dressing up like them. Adults prefer the challenge games which challenge their mental skills apart from being a source of good entertainment.

Dress Up Games at the Mall
The mall is certainly the place to be for fashion, but you do not have to shop and buy, unless you got your own cash advance loans to enjoy the full range of fashion fun the mall offers to teens. In fact, the best dress up games at the mall do not involve buying anything at all – you are just trying on clothes with a friend. What could be more innocent – and fun – than that?
The Mall Dress Up Games Basics
When you go to the mall ready to play, be sure you bring a friend along that is game and can have a good time with fashion, too. You can play these sorts of fashion games alone, but it is much more fun to play with someone else. Once you have the right friend in tow, head to one of the larger department stores in the mall. You are looking for one with a wide variety of clothing options that do not have heavy monitoring of the dressing rooms. You are not doing anything wrong, but having someone watching your every movement can be daunting.
Once you arrive, plan on several rounds of play. Start with the first task. The best part is you get to make it up. The first task of the game might be to pick out an outfit you think is absolutely adorable. You and your friend get five or ten minutes to shop around and find the pieces you need. The next task might be to find a hideous formal gown. Again, shop for a minute. If you can, hide the finds from your friend. Make up a third round, perhaps a totally goth or prep outfit and then head to the fitting rooms.
If you can, bring all of your items into the fitting room. If you are limited, play along and bring in only one outfit at a time. So long as your friend is playing the dress up games the same way, it should be fine. Pull on the outfit and then do a dramatic reveal between two dressing rooms. Or if you are totally comfortable with your friend, share the big dressing room (so long as nobody needs it more than you do) and keep the game more private.
Laugh or cheer for the outfits and snap a picture to remember how fun the look way – even if it was hideous. Do this for each selection until you have completed the full round of dress up games. You can either choose a winner for the entire game or for each outfit that makes up a round of play. Either way, the winner gets a free smoothie or some other small treat.
Clean Up Dress Up Games
Do not forget to clean up your dress up games when you are finished. Cleaning up keeps you respectful of how much work it is to pick up and hang all of the clothing you are not actually buying. So if you can not find where everything goes, at least hang everything neatly again to be ready for the sales lady. And if you find something great, absolutely buy it – it is the best way to build your wardrobe.
